HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 86-46RESOLUTION 86 - 46 BEING A RESOLUTION REGARDING LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS, LOCAL NO. 1216 BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of ColumBia Heights that: WHEREAS, negotiations have proceeded between the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local No. 1216, representing Firefighters and Captains of the City's Fire Department, and members of the City negotiating team, and said negotiations have resulted in a m~tually acceptable contract for calendar years 1986 and 1987 of: Wages: 4% adjustment for 1986; 4% adjustment for 1987; Callouts & Overtime: 4% adjustment for 1986; 4% adjustment for 1987; Insurance: $160 per month employer contribution for employee and dependent coverage during 1986; $170 per month employer contribution for employee and dependent coverage during 1987; Compensatory Time: Subject to approval of the Chief or designee, employees shall be given the option of compensatory time off in lieu of cash payment for overtime hours worked. Compensatory time may be accumulated to a maximum of 96 hours. Compensatory time m~st be taken during the same calendar year in which it is earned. Compensatory time earned and not taken within the calendar year shall be paid off the last payroll period in December. WHEREAS, a copy of said contract will be available for inspection at the Office of the City Manager and is made a part hereof by reference, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the contract agreement as nego- tiated, be and is hereby established as the salary and fringe benefit program for 1986 and 1987 for Firefighters and Captains of the Columbia Heights' Fire Department; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to execute this agreement.
