HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 82-41R E S O L U T I O N NO. ,~?_~1 Adopting assessment rolls for the following local Improvements and deter- mining said improvements have been made and ratifying and confirming all other proceedings, heretofore had: Special Assessment for midblock and alley Ti h ina numbered 677 - Ar~a ~ ~ A~ley West of Reservoir Blvd., 40th Ave. to Gould St. Area 2 - Alley 2nd Street & Main St., 43rd Ave. to 4hth Ave. Area 3 - Washington Street, ~3rd Ave. to ~th Ave. Area 5 - Alley University Ave. & 4th St., South of ~th Ave. Area 6 - Alley 6th St. & 7th St., h2nd Ave. to ~3rd Ave. Area 7 - Alley 6th St. S 7th St., 40th Ave. to ~lst Ave. Area 8 - Alley 3rd St. & University Ave., hhth to hSth Ave. Area 9 - Allty Tyler St. & Polk St., 4$th Ave. to h6th Ave. Area 10 - Alley Jackson St. & Van Buren St., 39th to ~0th Ave. Area 11 - Alley East of Polk, 37th Ave. to 39th Ave. Area 12 - Alley 6th St. & 7th St., hhth Ave. to 45th Ave. Area 13 - ~½ Avenue WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, met at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th day of August, 1982, in the City Council Chambers, 590 - 40th Avenue N.E., Columbia Heights, Minnesota, being the time and place set when and where all persons interested could appear and be heard by the Council with respect to benefits, and to the proportion of the cost of making the local improvements above described, a notice of such hearing having been heretofore duly published es required by law, and a notice mailed to each property owner of record, stating the proposed amount of the assessment; and, WHEREAS, this Council has heretofore estimated the cost of such local improvements and has prepared an assessment roll therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT~OF COLUHBIA HEIGHTS HEREBY RESOLVES= Section 1. That this council does hereby adopt the aforesaid assessment rolls known and described as "Assessment Roll for Local Improvements" numbered 677 - Areas 1 thru 13 for midblock lighting. Page 2 Resolution 82-41 Section 2. That this Council hereby finds and determines that each of the lots and parcels of land enumerated in sald assessment rolls was and is especially benefitted by such |mprovement, This Council further finds and determines that the proper proportion of the cost of such improvements to be especially assessed against each lot or parcel of land is the amount as billed annually by Northern States Power plus an admin- istration fee. Section 3. That the annual installment shal) be paid in full without interest on or before September )5, 1982, and In annual installments thereafter, as long as the street or alley m)dblock lights are in place. Failure to pay the annual installment renders the same delinquent and thereafter a 10S penalty is added and the said delinquent special assess- ment is certified to the County for collection with the rea) estate tax. Section 4. Section 5. That this Councl) ~ld hereby determine and redetermine to proceed with said improvements, does ratify and confirm all other proceedings heretofore had in regard to these improvements, and said improvements shall hereafter be known and numbered 677 - Areas 1 thru 13 for midbiock lighting.
