LOCATED AT 4318 3RD STREET NORTHEAST, COLUMBIA
HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA~ TO BE RAZED-AND REMOVED.
WHEREAS, Leonard K. and Helen L. McLaughlin are the owners of a certain building
located at 4318 3rd Street AI. E., Columbia Heights, Minnesota, on' the below
legally described property, and
WHEREAS, a certain building is located on the tot and described as a burnt-out
home, and
I~;I-IEREAS, after the receipt of numerous complaints, the Council of the City of Columbia
Heights ordered an inspection to be made of the above described premises, which
described premises ~vas found to be inadequately maintained, dilapidated, physically
damaged, abandoned and in a state of disrepair and constitutes a hazard to the public
safety and health and that it does violate existing ordinances of the City of Columbia
Heights, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Columbia Heights finds that the above described
building is inadequately maintained; that the building is dilapidated; that the building
is physically damaged; that the building is abandoned; and that the building does
constitute a hazard to the public safety and health; and that it does not conform to
the building code of the City of Columbia Heights.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Leonard K. and Helen L. McLaughlin, husband
and wife, shall be ordered to ra~e~ and remove that building on the property legally
described as:
The South Seventy (70) feet of Lot Three (3), except the West One Half (1/2) of
Block Two (2), Rearrangement of Block "C", Columbia Heights Annex.
This action is taken pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Annotated 463.15 to 463.26 on
the grounds that the said building is a hazardous building ~vithin the meaning of that
statute.
