BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia
Heights, that
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the development of a Junior
College is desirable and appropriately planned for the Anoka County
area which will serve the municipalities of the County, including
the City of Columbia Heights, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, is
desireous of the development of such a College to serve our area.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Anoka County Board of Com-
missioners be requested to carry out the following actions to
assure the early attainment of said Junior College for our area
by the following means:
To take such action as is necessary to acquire the land.
That the site would not be restricted to any particular place
other than being located within the area suggested by the junior
College Committee.

That this be financed by a county-wide levy.
That the land thus acquired would be donated on behalf of the
residents of Anoka County to the Minnesota Junior College Board
to operate a Junior college within our county.
That the Board of County Commissioners have expressed a willing-
nes to undertake this
