The following revisions have been recommended by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights: Pag~ 5, Section 12, Subdivision Lshatl read as follows: The City council shall each year levy a tax for the benefit of the special relief fund of such firemen'S relief association of 1% Mills on all taxable property.~within suchcfty until the balance in s'aid.special fund of such fir, emen's relief' association has reached ~he sum of 8150,000, and thereafter the levy may be reduced to a minimum clone tenth of a mill by said ci~ty to a sum sufficient to maintain the balance in said'special fund'of not less than 8150,000. In addition, and only if such .tax is levied, the city treasurer, shall, each month deduct from...gach.m~be~~, four percent of the sala~ Of a first grade fireman and transfer the' total thereof to the treasurer of the special fund of the relief association, who shall credit this total to the special fund and .'to the credit of the individual fireman.. Page 5, Section '~2, Subdivision 2, shall iread as follows: In addition, the city c°uncil shall, i~t the time tax levies are made for the support of the city, and in ~addition thereto, levy an emergenc7 tax levy of one-half mill or f~action thereof in addition to the 1~ mills hereinbefore provided, whenever the balance iln said special fund is less than 875,.000. In a~dltion,and only if such tax is levied, the city treasurer.shall each .month deduct fro~ each member's salary, five percentOf the salary paid to a-~irst ~r&de ~ir~m~, and~transfer the total thereof to the treasurer of the special fund of the relief association, who shall credit this total to the special fund and to the credit of ~the individual fireman. In addition, a Section 33 shall be added as follows~ All personnel affected who have monies credited to their accounts in the Public Employees Relief Association, shall upon compliance of Section 32, of this Act, have the same transferred to the Treasurer of the Relief Association.
