BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Counc~ of the City of Columbia Heights
that
WHEREA~ no specific legislation has been formulated officially setting
forth the basis for certain buLlding permit fees, ~nd
WHEREAS a satisfactory schedule has been utilized by administrative
determination and study that the following schedule and proceedures
are hereby established:
1. Permit fees for construction valued from $21 to $400
sh~l~ be $2.00 and the balance of the fees shall be
accordance with the schedule in the 1955 edition of
the Uniform Building Code.

Inspector's fee sh~11 be $1.00 per $1,OO0 valuation or
any part thereof up to $50,000 valuation and be $.25
per $1,OOO valuation or any part thereof on that. part
of the valuation exceeding $50,000.

Homes shall be valued at $13.OO per square foot on new
construction for the first floor, $6.50 per square foot
for finished base~ nt areas or additional floors.
Commercial buildings shall be evaluated at $1.00 per
cubic foot of usable height with the lowest allowable
ceiling height of 9 feet.
5. Maximum building permit fee on ~ny public building shall
be based on a valuation of $50,000.
6. Bu~,ding permits sha~ be valid for one year from date of
issuance, and after expiration shall be renewable at 50%
of the initial fee~
