HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 42-25 WHEREAS, the city owns various tools, such as scythes,
rakes, shovels, pumps~, and other pieces of minor equipment,
and
WHEREAS, various persons have been coming to the city
manager asking for permission to borrow such pieces of minor
equipment, and
WHEREAS, such use deteriorates and waars out such equip-
ment necessitating the city to buy new equipment to replace
the worn-ouT articles, and
WHEREAS, many persons fail To bring back or do bring back
such equipment in a damaged condition necessitating an addition-
al expense on the part of the city,
MAY, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city manager is
hereby instructed $o require a deposit of money not less than
five dollars ($0.00) for each piece of equipment so borrowed,
and that he make a flat reasonable charge for the use of such
equipment commensurated with the value and abuse given such
art icle.
BE IT FURTHER RE$OLVED, that if such article borrowed
shall not be returned or is returned in a damaged condition,
said city manager shall have the authority to deduct the value
or damage from the securer[ pledged thereof. He is not limited
to said security if i~ is inadequate to replace such article.
