HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 41-65THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS HEREBY RESOLVES:
That in cases of emergencies arising from accident, or in cases
of illness on the ~dvtse of the City Health Officer, where the injured
e
or sick person is in need of immediate~ hospitalization, 8-~d unable to
direct where he or she should be taken, or is unable to:?ay for ambulance
service and emergency hospitalization, the Chief of Police or senior police
officer on duty be and he hereby is authorized to call an ambulance and
have such person taken to the Minneapolis General Hospital. And the City
Council hereby agrees t~at in all such cases the City of Columbia Heights
will pay for such ambulance service,and for hospitalization until the
proper aUthorities can be called in to take charge of the case, in the
event that such injured or sick person is unable to pay for the s~me.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a~f this resolution be sent to
£he,~Superintendent of the Minneapolis General Hospttal~. ~~~ ~.~y~
