1992 Budget Amendments & 1993 Budget Preparation
WHEREAS:
The City Manager has asked the City Council for input to
the 1993 City budget process; and
WHEREAS:
The State faces severe financial shortfalls which may
impact on Local Government Aids including HACA; and
WHEREAS:
The City Council is concerned that the property tax not
be expected to replace local government aids.
NOW,
THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby direct the City
Manager to prepare budget amendments for the 1992 budget
which would amount to five percent (5%) decrease in state
aids for 1992.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be directed to use as
guidelines in preparing the 1993 budget, a decrease of
ten percent (10%) in state aids and a property tax
increase no greater than what would be allowed under the
current requirements of levy limits.
