HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 59-33WHEREAS, the very urgent need of a hospital to serve our people has been evident to our council, and WHEREAS, pursuant to a recognition of this need, a study with o~her communities as tP possible solutions has been undertaken, and WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Cities of Columbia Heights, Fridley and Coon Rapids, together with the Villages of Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Lexington and Circle Pines join together in an effort to fill this need of a hospital to serve our needs, and WHEREAS, this will require some initial financing and a repre- sentative of our community, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby appoints Max Johnson to represent them in this joint effort and hereby authorize and directs the payment of up to S500.00 to be used for such study, survey and development of hospital needs and such basic organizational expenses as are needed and that these funds are to be dispersed at the direction of Max Johnson and further be it resolved that Max Johnson shall report back to this council as soon as practical and from time to time as to the progress and development of this study. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED t'hat said 8500.00 be a direct transfer from the liquor fund.
