~P~EAS: Traffic Conditions on State Trunk Highways
No. 65 and 56 have become a major problem within the City of
Columbia Heights~ particularly at the intersections of ~lst Avenue
and Central Avenue; 37th Avenue and Central Avenu~ T.H. 65, and
LOth Avenue and University Avenue, T.H. ~6 and,
WHEREAS: due to the heavy use of the above Highways~ it
has a~uost become impossible to cross at the above intersections at
certain periods ~%thout endangering life and property and,
WHEREAS.~ the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights
has deemed it necessary that some method of traffice control be
installed at the above named intersections~ therefore be it
RESOLVED; by the City Council of the City of Columbia
Heights that the Minnesota State Highway Department be requested to
conduct a traffic survey of the above designated intersections for
the purpose of determining the best method of traffic control and
be it further
RESOLVED: that a copy of the above resolution be forwarded
to the Traffic Engineering Department,Highway Department~ State of
Minnesota.
