SP£CIAL COUNCIL MEETING
JANUARY 29, 1990
The meeting was called to order at I1:O5 p.m. by Mayor Carlson.
1. ROLL CALL
Nawrocki, Clerkin, Peterson, Carlson - present
2. APPOINTMENT OF SECRETARY PRO-TEM
Motion by Peterson, second by Carlson to appoint Bill Elrite, Finance Director,
as Secretary Pro-tem. Roll call: All ayes
3. PUBLIC HEARINGS, ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
a. Resolution Establishing Rates for Refuse and Yard Waste Collection Services
Provided by Waste Management
At a Council Work Session preceeding this Special Council Meeting there had been
a lengthy discussion regarding this resolution and it was decided that additional
information was needed.
b. Resolution Establishing User Charges for Refuse, Yard Waste, and Recycling
Services
At a Council Work Session preceeding this Special Council Meeting there had been
a lengthy discussion regarding this resolution and it was decided that additional
information was needed.
Motion by Nawrocki, second by Peterson to continue items a and b to the meeting
on January 30, 1990. Roll call: All ayes
c. Resolution No. 90-06; Being a Resolution Amending the Budget for the Year
1990
Motion by Nawrocki, second by Peterson to waive the reading of the resolution
there being ample copies available to the public. Roll call: All ayes
RESOLUTION NO. 90-06
BEING A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1990
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the
budget for the year 1990 adopted by Resolution No. 89-59 be amended as follows:
Section A. The budget for the City of Columbia Heights for the year 1990
hereby amended with a reduction in appropriations as follows:
Expense
Adopted Capital Improvement Funds budget $1,164,302
Budget Reduction 660,000
Amended Capital Improvement Funds budget $ 504,302
Section B. The estimated gross revenue to fund the budget of the City of
Columbia Heights is hereby amended with a reduction in revenue as follows:

Budget Reduction 660,000
Amended Capital Improvement Funds budget $ 504,302
