Cragg Signs/Bresler Realty
~15-4945 Central Avenue - Variance
Cragg Signs requested a five foot front yard setback variance on the location
of an existing pylon sign for the shopping center located at 4915-45 Central
Avenue. The variance request is to allow the existing pylon sign now used by
the Country Boy Store to remain in its present location which is ten feet from
the front property line. The proposed sign is to be an area identification sign
for a shopping center of 100 square feet as permitted by the Sign Ordinance.
The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the five foot front
yard setback variance to the center of the pylon sign pole based on the hard-
ship of the building's distance from Central Avenue provided the other pylon
signs located on the site are removed within ninety days from the date of
approval.
The representative of the sign company explained that the sign will have the
name of the shopping center on it and on the reader board portion of it each
store in the center will have ~he opportunity to advertise at special times
during the year. Each store in the center will have box signs on the face of
the building.
