2005 Taste of Heights
Discussion ensued regarding the future of the Human Services Commission. It was concluded
that the Commission is, and has for many years, seached for a purpose. The "Taste of Heights"
could be coordinated by another group or staff. Magee indicated there is interest on the part of
the Liquor Operations Manager to continue it, as the Wine Tasting held in conjunction with
last year's event was successful. The Humanitarian of the Year could be selected by an ad hoc
COlmnittee, perhaps comprised of a representative from each commission.
After much discussion, members present recommended disbanding the commission.
2005 LMHRC Essay Contest Participation
Due to limited interest in previous years, it was agreed participation would not continue.
Other New Business
Mayor Peterson suggested Hall and Qamhieh might be interested in attending and participating
in "Rising to New Heights". Magee will see that they are e-mailed meeting notices.
